Why foster for us?

Check out this video below made by one of our fosters & volunteers, Nick Zaffiri.

Our ability to rescue depends completely on foster homes. The more foster homes that we have, the more lives that we can save. We provide the following to all foster homes if needed:

  • Food
  • Vet Care for the foster dog
  • Crate and other essentials like leash & collar
  • Guidance & training tips

The responsibilities from the foster family are:

We carefully match up foster dogs with foster parents and current pets to make sure that everyone is a perfect match. Foster dogs may stay at their temporary foster homes from as little as a few days up to several months, depending on the animal.

By taking an animal in need temporarily into your home you’re:

  • freeing up a spot so the shelter or rescue can take in another dog.
  • giving your foster dog the time he needs to be ready for adoption.
  • helping the shelter or rescue learn more about the dog so he can end up in the best home possible.
  • socializing the dog to a home environment and possibly getting him used to being around other pets and different types of people.
